Let’s celebrate CRAFT challenge 12th Birthday

Good Morning All and a Very Happy 12th Birthday to us all here at CRAFT Challenge!!

This year we are 12 years old already and still going strong. Only one team member has been present from the start, Jo. I have seen a lot of team members come and go over these 12 years, but all have been fabulous and very talented. I feel honoured to be working with such talented and lovely people. Even though my time is limited these days, I still love being part of this team.

If you feel you would like to join our fabulous team, then just have a look at our DT Call page, which will inform you of any openings on the team. Or simply get in touch with us and let us know.

And now it’s time for our birthday celebrations. This week our challenge is

Birthday!

(what else could it be?)

Anything that fits in with this subject, qualifies for entering this challenge.

There is a maximum of 1 entry per person for this challenge and as always it needs to be recent (new) work (so created and posted after this challenge has started). Although we love to see your work, it would put those contestants that put more than 1 entry in at an unfair advantage. The same limitation exists for the prizes to be won on the blogs of our DT members.

Please also turn word verification off as this makes leaving a comment on your lovely creations much easier. We will not leave a comment if you have word verification switched on.

Here is an alphabetical list of the fabulous sponsors for our Blog Hop, all loyal supporters of our challenge blog:

The rules this year are very simple:

  1. Make a project for this challenge and we will put your entry in the random draw for the prize from Sweet n Sassy.
  2. Visit the blogs of our DT and enter their Linky or their comments if no Linky is in place to be put in the random draw for the prize on their blog.
  3. As always, we will choose the Top 3 as we do every week and this week each Top 3 will win a prize too.

You should have come here from  Sheryl’s Blog   and your next stop is Craft Challenge

The prize on this blog is $10 voucher from the store of

Jan’s Digital Stamps

Here is my card using

Please enter your card in the linky below to be in with a chance to win this prize or leave a link in the comment box below.

Commissions

Good evening everyone it’s been a busy week here in the Blessing house, in the loft clearing it out and going to the tip.

My husband was clearing out the garage so we could put our cars back in. However, I did make some crafting time to honour a few commissions that came in.

A tissue box for a birthday present with matching card below.
Birthday Dress card.

I love making gifts for people and getting such a lovely reaction when they see the item.

I have made another couple of birthday and anniversary cards but will reveal them after the events.

Anyway, take care everyone and stay safe.

DRS designs – Thank you for this opportunity

Being new to the team I thought I would choose the beautiful Flower Hearts. It took me a few days to decide what could I do with this image to enhance its beauty.

I came up with the idea of doing a pop up box, using white card to make the box. I then cut 2 small strips and adhered these to the inside of the box to be able to attach the flowers. I matted and layered the box with some gold mirri card and some contrasting flower paper.

I then coloured and blended my Flower hearts with Chameleon pens and attached them to the white strips, I then used some twigs to bulk out the box ensuring that the Flower Hearts took pride of place.

I attached some flowers that were cut out from a die and added a few gems.

I really enjoyed this challenge and loved the finished article, here’s to many more challenges in the future. I hope you like what I have done and would welcome your thoughts.
